This was our trip from Lake Champlain to New York.
We left from Sorel in Qc Canada, but we have other videos on the Richelieu River and the Chambly canal system. So we only filmed from Lake Champlain onward to New York. We had an amazing trip, except for being at anchor in Sandy Hook NJ with 50 knots of wind! Let’s just say getting up at midnight to remove the Bimini top on the fly bridge with that wind is quite a challenge. To visit New York we stayed in New Jersey at a marina that was about 4.50$ a night per foot. Next year when we head to the Bahamas we will anchor out near a marina for 20$ a night and take the dinghy in to town. There are a few places to stop near the beginning and the end of the Champlain lock system. Tying up for the night is free and some even have shore power.
